Meet the Interns: Bright Ikwetie

Bright is an Associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a graduate of accountancy. He has a Google Project Management certificate, and he is IBQMI® - Certified Lean Project Manager®. He is a financial management specialist, internal controls, and risk management and compliance focus. He is ethically driven, self-motivated, progressive, and passionate about the accounting profession and information technology.  

His career path cut across two conglomerates’ organizations, a Nigerian indigenous audit firm, a non-for-profit firm (Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation (HSDF) where he was the Director of Finance and Grants. He has also worked for four multinationals’ firms: Ernst & Young (EY-Nigeria), Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA), Olam Nigeria Ltd, and DN Tyre Plc. He has served in other capacities as Head of Accounts and Operations, Head of Finance and Accounts, Account Manager, Group Finance Manager, Group Accountant and Ag Group Treasurer.

He recently exited his HSDF’s Director of Finance and Grants position in pursuit of a Master of Science in Accounting, Technology and Analytics program at Daniels College of Education in University of Denver (DU), where he intends to major in Robotic automation processes.  In line with his dream to bring to bear some of his vast financial management knowledge into robotics automation processes. He is currently a Graduate Assistant at DU's Entrepreneurship Garage (Makers-space) center.

Bright is blessed with a set of quadruplets and he is a blue ocean strategist!
