State ranks very poorly on fiscal health

Editorial, includes “Taxpayer watchdog group Truth in Accounting has released its twelfth annual evaluation of the fiscal health of the nation’s 50 states. … Unfortunately, California found itself in the red, with a ‘taxpayer burden’ of $21,100 in obligations per taxpayer. The only solace one can find is that California is not in as bad shape as Illinois, New Jersey or Connecticut …”
