We have been fighting the fight to educate the public about the state's horrible financial condition for years. We continue to push out as much information as possible and work to get as many people to pay attention. When people call for solutions we know our hard work is paying off. Some followers of Truth in Accounting understand the problem and want solutions to fix it. However, we remain nonpartisan, and choose to focus on the numbers rather than political solutions. We will continue to analyze the data, and create easy-to-understand governmental reports, so that more people can understand this important topic.
That being said, if a government has a huge cash shortfall, there are usually only two ways to fix it: either bring more money in or spend less. But, any real solution requires accurate governmental accounting.
