Amended 2010 Georgia state budget headed to governor
The Georgia General Assembly has sent Gov. Sonny Perdue a $17.1 billion amended 2010 budget with even more spending reductions than separate versions of the budget the House and Senate passed two months ago.

From Atlanta Business Chronicle:

Teachers and state employees took major hits in the budget, with teachers and most state agency workers getting six furlough days. Some state agencies absorbed another three furlough days, for a total of nine to be taken before the end of the fiscal year on June 30.
