The Institute for Truth in Accounting presents a survey of state governments’ deficits and balanced budget requirements in its recently-released report, “The Truth in Balanced Budgets: A 50 State Study.”  As a part of its research, the Institute reviewed each of the fifty state budget processes and the results reported on their state’s financial statements.
